Becoming a travel blogger and making money while traveling the world may seem like a dream, but anyone can afford it. While it may not be easy, it is definitely something worth looking into.
It may be difficult for you to make a living writing a travel blog at first, so you will need to have a steady income or savings until you start to become more successful. Those with little to no savings and who buy a one-way ticket to travel and blog will find themselves in big trouble later.
If you don’t have enough money to cover various bills and expenses, it’s important that you have a full-time job while you create your travel blog. The sad fact is that writing travel blogs is not a quick money making business as it is something you will have to work on over time until you become more and more successful. When you save enough money, you will have more time to research, read and write blog posts.
You Can’t Give Up – Don’t listen to losers.
I’ve heard from a lot of people that the travel niche doesn’t make money and that it’s impossible to compete with more established bloggers, but those who say these things have not put in the necessary time and effort to really make it big. Succeeding in writing a travel blog isn’t easy, but it’s definitely worth all the hard work you’ll have to put in. If it were easy to make a lot of money from a travel blog, many more people would be rich and successful.
Pick a Specific Niche – Typically, travel itself is considered a niche, but if you want the best possible results, you will need to target a specific audience. Travel blogging in general requires a lot of sources, as well as a lot of time and hard work that can get you nowhere.
Choose a Specific Topic – It could be a destination, sports tourism in general, cycling travel, luxury travel, hiking, heritage tourism, or anything else. You’ll want to focus on a more specific topic so you can do more in-depth research and provide readers with valuable information. Travelers are always looking for answers about where they are going before they travel, and a well-written article will definitely benefit both of you.
Create something interesting – There are a number of travel bloggers who have become famous without having any experience in internet marketing; they just travel and share their ideas on social media. Many people tend to react to crazy, new, interesting ideas and things they can’t afford. The idea of traveling the world with little to no money or visiting extremely wild places appeals to many people.
The quality of your blog content is extremely important. It is better to take the time to do the necessary research for your articles so that they are really useful to readers. This way you can earn a significant amount of money from your travel blog.
Watch and research the travel market before you start as travel blogger
The tourism industry changes depending on a number of different factors, including the financial crisis, political issues, and financial crisis, so what is popular in one year may be a terrible choice for it. If you have no experience in the travel niche, you have nothing to worry about. Writing in the travel niche isn’t as difficult as it might seem, but you’ll need to use common sense when trying to come up with a good idea.
Assuming that 2015 was not the best year economically for most countries, the currency is unstable and there are problems with emigration and unemployment. In this situation, it doesn’t look like things will change anytime soon. Travelers are looking for travel options on a budget. There are places that are safer to visit than others, and this is great for those planning to start in the travel niche because of the opportunity to find a new destination with low competition.
What I’m going to do is google “value destination 2016″ and the first link where the Lonely Planet article was posted. This website has suggested several different destinations to look out for for a budget holiday in 2016. I copied the names of these destinations one by one and checked them for competition using a special tool. I was surprised to see ” Galicia Spain ” has low competition, good CPC and number of searches per month.
As you can see from the picture above, the keyword “Galicia, Spain” has 12,100 queries per month, CPC is 1.37, and overall competition is moderate. You can read about competition and keyword research in the travel niche from another post.
Typically, travel bloggers go two ways:
There is one type of blogger who creates magazine type blogs. These bloggers usually talk about their adventures, describe their travel itinerary, and share photos and videos. The biggest problem with these types of blogs is that you always have to keep updating content, and most readers will stop visiting you once your travel itinerary is over.
Another kind of travel blogger creates informational articles, similar to what you might see in a guidebook, about places to visit, travel tips, and how to write articles. If you take the time to create your advice blog and write about the places you live or a single target, your articles will generally live much longer and be seen by more people on your blog. However, the problem with these articles is that most of them don’t have much personality, so they can get pretty boring.
If you want to make the right move and seriously want to become a travel blogger, you will have to combine both methods and make a real connection with your readers and let your personality shine through in the way you write your posts. You also need to make sure that your posts contain real information that can help tourists make the right decisions before they choose where to go.
TIPS FOR COLLECTING A NICHE:
*Always write about what interests you. If you choose a topic that you don’t like or don’t know about, the quality of your content will not be very good.
*Explore the competition. If you want to be successful in the long run, you shouldn’t care too much about the competition in your niche, but you will need to analyze and study them to find what they’ve been missing out on so you can do that instead.
*Make sure your niche has enough information to write about.
Becoming a travel blogger and making money by traveling the world is more than affordable, but you have to treat it like a business, building an audience over time so that your work rewards you in many ways.
